Gaining 4.79kg of skeletal muscle mass in eight weeks sits far outside the usual range for resistance training studies, and it does not sit easily alongside the training-only group gaining just 0.91kg on the same programme. Why does homocysteine appear here?

Homocysteine is a blood marker tied directly to folate metabolism, and elevated levels are associated with cardiovascular risk. Folic acid lowering it is a known pathway.
